Biomass from dying coconut trees in Mozambique

There is currently the clearing and removal of 600,000 dead or dying coconut trees in post-endemic and endemic zones in accordance with the MCC/MCA financed FISP Tree Removal and Planting Strategy, and the removal of approximately 600,000 individual trees from “hot spots” within identified epidemic / high-risk zones happen in Zambezia and Nampula province in the North of Mozambique ongoing.

This is just about 15% of the anticipated cutting area necessary in private coconut estates.

BioTech is as local Partner looking to attrack foreign investors to take advantage of this large quantaties of biomass.

All pre-feasability studies showed the realistic potential of this operation. BioTech possesses the local knowlede to be a valuable partner to kickstart and run the operational part of this operation with the necessary local knowledge.
