EPA delays new rules for biomass

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Environmental Protection Agency apparently has had a change of heart regarding the proposal to cinch up rules for biomass boilers.

The agency last week proposed to delay implementation of controversial rules, which critics say would cost jobs and also impose tens of billions of dollars in new capital costs at thousands of facilities with boilers across the country.
