Leading biofuel players worldwide will be in Rotterdam, the Netherlands next year to participate at the World Biofuels Market, the largest bioenergy congress and exhibition in Europe.

The three-day event held every year and this time at the Beurs-World Trade Center will pool more than 70 biofuel experts and over 2,000 attendees.

“World Biofuels Market is a major global meeting point for the biofuels community and the emerging biorefining and biochemicals communities. The Congress has traditionally been an excellent marketplace, where the United States and Asia meet Europe,” said Nadim Chaudhry one of the organizers.

The meeting is being set up by Green Power Conferences, a pioneer in the sustainability events field.

The industry networking event is now registering companies wanting to join and those entering the future bioenergy market.

Organizers say World Biofuels Market is ideal for those seeking to meet potential clients and boost existing business relationships.

“The agenda grows each year and this year we will be focusing on advanced biofuels, aviation and biochemicals,” Mr. Chaudhry said.

The congress will talk about new topics among which are global ethanol trading, global biodiesel trading, algae biofuels, solar biofuels, aviation fuels, biofuels finance and investment, cogeneration, energy efficiency and food processing.

World Biofuels will also conduct three co-located activities: biogas, biopower generation and biobased Chemicals.

The addition of several tours to the program is being considered, such as one featuring Europe’s largest port and some nearby biorefineries as extra attractions for international delegates.

Since 2006, the event has assembled over 5,465 executives from 80 countries. This year, delegate numbers climbed by 30 percent and saw over 1,400 senior level industry professionals from 70 countries.

“You have the right people here, people at the right level of decision making, the right legislators, the right level of key opinion leaders, these are the people who make the strategies for the future,” according to SBEA Industries, a leading European algae producer that attended this year.
