GreenGold Ray Energies expands
plantation in the Philippines

GreenGold Ray Energies Inc., formerly known as Waste Recovery Inc., announced July 31 that its Philippine-based jatropha plantations on Marinduque island will be expanded. This expansion will increase the company`s total plantation area to more than 24,700 acres, including areas on Mindanao and Batan islands. In addition, native and cooperative owners of 2,400 acres of existing jatropha plantation land have approached GreenGold Ray Energies about forming a joint venture. An agreement is expected to be signed in early August.
A company field team will spend August and September in Marinduque assisting the community to prepare the land for planting. The Binasan and Opol sites will also be prepared during this time. The first 740 acres of plantation land have already been planted, and are expected to begin producing oil by December.
The company plans to build three or four biodiesel manufacturing facilities, locating one at each plantation site. The first two facilities should be completed by December. GreenGold Ray Energies will have its jatropha oil tested in a U.S. laboratory for purity, and plans to sell the fuel domestically, as well as exporting it to various locations around the world, including the United States.
Incorporated in Texas and operating primarily in the Philippines, GreenGold Ray Energies is working to utilize agricultural oil-based mineral resources and alternative energy resources produced from sugarcane, coconut, jatropha, sweet sorghum and other crops. The company is working with various indigenous tribes on the island of Mindanao to cultivate jatropha and sweet sorghum.
